Installing a dead bolt is very similar to installing
a entry lock. Just like with an entry lock a
installation jig is the best way to avoid making
mistakes.
Dead bolts are suppose to add extra security. So you need to pay piticitular attention and make sure you place it in a sturdy part of the door frame. In some cases if the frame is week you will need to reinforce it. Also using extra long screws that go into the stud that the door frame is attached to will add xtra security. |
